Our client is a manufacturer of heavy equipment. We are looking for a Product Support Manager to join their team in Toronto and manage a team of Product Support Representatives across Canada. This is an aftermarket support position focused on the sales of parts and service. He or she will ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner, creating a positive customer experience while achieving revenue objectives. The position involves setting overall performance objectives and supporting the team to ensure aftermarket solutions meet client needs and reflect company resources.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establish departmental goals and targets for aftermarket service and parts, considering regional trends and nuances
  • Oversee the overall scheduling of customer support visits for machine inspections and proactive parts and service recommendations
  • Develop, lead and educate others on conditional monitoring
  • Ensure aftermarket sales and parts sales opportunities are maximized, increasing revenue for the organization
  • Lead and mentor the team, ensuring team members are well supported to achieve performance objectives
  • Interpret oil sample reports and provide technical assistance to customers as needed
  • Collaborate with parts and service to ensure customer programs are effective and reflective of shop and field service technician availabilities
  • Provide accurate reporting and data to senior leaders and communicate any difficulties in rolling out the department’s objectives
  • Support employee development and participate in the recruiting of talent

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a Product Support Representative in heavy equipment
  • At least 5 years of experience managing teams in heavy equipment
  • Advanced ability to interpret oil sample reports, conditional monitoring and machine inspection reports
  • Experience delivering aftermarket sales and service in heavy equipment
  • Solid understanding of heavy equipment and extensive experience working with aftermarket parts and service
  • Collaborative team player
  • Relationship builder
  • Data focused with strong computer skills
  • Heavy duty licensed mechanic preferred
  • Post secondary degree preferred
