This company promotes internally whenever possible. This position can lead to Operations Manager or Supply Chain Manager and eventually to a VP level role. 



Responsible for coordinating and leading product line production to safely make a quality product on-time.  Requires knowledge of all products and their operating characteristics, plant layout, production capacity of each department, plant procedures and practices and quality standards. Consults with other plant executives to analyze economic trends, sales forecasts and marketing and distribution problems so as to plan production schedules accordingly. Confers with department heads regarding availability of raw materials, maintenance of plant and equipment, product quality control, related production records, labor and material costs and other factors, to insure that operating cost are held at budgeted level. Collaborates in the improvement of production methods and equipment.  Make reports to management on production efficiency and work completion dates.  Usually reports to plant or manufacturing manager.

Supervises employees who have entry level to a high degree of skill, job experience, and training in aerospace shop procedure, practices and techniques.  Employees range from inspectors, machinists and assemblers to shipping and receiving and stock room.  Supervise activities such as inspection to customer and AS9100 standards, setup and operation of manual and CNC machines and assembly/testing of highly complex mechanical actuators and pumps.

Responsible for maintaining a level of manpower consistent with the business plan.  Take timely action to address attendance, performance and other personnel issues within the department.  Responsible for conducting performance appraisals.  Recommend training to upgrade skills for department personnel.  Responsible for interviewing and recommending candidates for hire.


PREFERRED EDUCATION:   Bachelors degree is preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:      Five plus (5+) years of manufacturing experience ideally in a high mix/low volume environement

                                                      Expereince managing a team directly or indirectly.
