The role will be responsible for overseeing day to day production and maintenance, ensuring quality and safety and adherence to regulation.

The Ideal candidate will have production supervision/management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemical and other process and manufacturing environments that involve compliance to quality and safety regulations will be considered. The candidate will have successful experience in developing and leading staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

  • Provide leadership and direction to staff to meet demand of customers and to help foster capable, motivated, informed and empowered team
  • Ensure staff is fully-trained in their activities in accordance to safety and quality systems requirements
  • Coordinate safety training for production employees and maintain JSO and training records
  • Lead reliability, compliance, quality and safety programs and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Drive productivity to maximize plant capabilities and operational efficiency and identify issues and lead continuous process and operational improvements
  • Assist in day to day distribution activities to branches and external customers; driver routing & dispatching
  • Monitor and escalate any product quality and equipment issues
  • Maintain inventory of production supplies
  • Diligent, timely and accurately completing reports such as Inventory, KPI, financial, work orders, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful leadership/supervisory/management experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and other process and production environments operating within compliance of regulatory and quality standards will be considered
  • Excellent leadership, people management, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong record of safety compliance and maintaining product quality
  • Keen eye for details, organized and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Flexibility for shift schedule between morning and afternoon
