Project Engineering responsibility for a food and beverage manufacturing facility.  This role reports to the Plant Engineer.  This is for an engineering candidate early on in his/her career with a minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience out of university experienced working on capital engineering projects in high speed manufacturing plants (preferably cpg f&b fortune 500 co.)  4 locations including Oregon, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Texas.  Excellent engineering career pathing opportunity with a Fortune 500 Manufacturing Co.  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline from accredited college or university
  • Three (3+) years in project engineering required, CPG beverage/food manufacturing strongly preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ability to prepare plans and detailed reports and to maintain records.
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of contractors.
  • Solid engineering technical base refined with plant experience
  • General knowledge of plant operations
  • Exposure to ESL/aseptic and food safety regulations – PMO, 3A and FDA
  • Exposure to food and beverage packaging & processing equipment
  • Ability to analyze, compare, and recommend engineering proposals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline from accredited college or university
  • Three (3+) years in project engineering required, CPG beverage/food manufacturing strongly preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Acts as Engineering point of contact for facility internal customers:
    • Attend facility leadership meetings
    • Provide technical assistance as required  
  • Provides project management and expertise for all capital projects:
    • Identifies, creates, and submits necessary documents for CAPEX approval
    • Review Capital Projects Contracts
    • Create POs (Purchase Orders) for Capital Projects
    • Coordinate and lead multi-functional teams within the project
    • Track and manage Capital and Project Expense
    • Schedules, directs, and inspects the work of contractors/vendors
    • Reports on progress and conformance to project work plans
    • Manages project schedules, budgets and cashflows
  • Demonstrate proficiency for Engineering Standards
  • Responds to emergency calls, as needed

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
