JOB DESCRIPTION

  • We are looking for an experienced transportation project manager.
  • This position will be located Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • This position is a key part of our clients growing transportation practice.
  • This role will serve as the Design Lead and Project Manager responsible for Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike projects, as well as various County and Municipal Roadway projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: client communication and reporting responsibilities, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Serving as the technical lead in organizing and executing a program of project designs across our transportation practice; Training younger staff in sound design practices
  • Business Development: Assisting in pursuing future project opportunities, including events, conferences, and other networking activities.
  • Technical Expertise: Leading and managing the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates and technical reports for our transportation clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 7 to 15 years of experience in roadway design with at least 4 years of project management duties. 
  • Experience working with the Oklahoma DOT and solid understanding of OKDOT design requirements.
  • Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design.
  • Client facing skills: communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities.
  • Experience with MicroStation and Geopak/Open Roads.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
