JOB DESCRIPTION

Automotive client seeks a Quality Engineer who will provide quality support to production operations to ensure integrity of products. You will drive quality improvement efforts with the goal of “zero defect” performance. You’ll use your experience with PPAP, APQP, ISO, TS-16949, & supplier interaction.  This company is team focused & takes pride with their quality image, product performance, and customer service. 

 

In this role, you will oversee product quality as well as drive and champion quality improvement efforts. You will provide expert analysis, support, and guidance to production in process improvement activities which include Problem-solving and statistical analysis. As the Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for new product qualifications. You will also ensure the internal customer needs are met in a timely manner. You will support external customers in during the new product introduction through APQP application stages.  As you are the Quality Engineer, your knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques along with your analytical skills will be to implement root cause analysis and make recommendations for corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Quality role in the automotive industry
  • Proficient using automotive Quality tools such as QS-9000 and TS-16949
  • Experience with Problem Solving, assembly process, GD&T and AutoCAD
  • Experience and knowledge of advanced quality planning and inspection techniques
  • Experience with Supplier Management or Supplier Relations.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
