Our client, a nationally recognized food manufacturer, is seeking a strategic Quality Manager to join their Buffalo, NY team!

The Quality Manager will be primarily accountable for the oversight of the operational strategy for Food Safety Quality Programs to support the Company’s mission and core values.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective, hands-on leadership, oversight, and structured accountability of Quality team members
  • Collaborate with Leadership team to establish a corporate QA system and a team that promotes customer satisfaction and positively impacts financial performance
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System
  • Champion Food Safety Programs, HACCP, SQF and industry certifications, NSF, FDA, and CFR Title 21 Sec 111
  • Prepare and lead the facility in preparation for internal and external audits including SQF, cGMP, HAACP, Food Safety and Food Security
  • Facilitate and Lead team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations
  • Increase productivity and quality while lowering costs
  • Improve processes through the application of quality tools and systems
  • Increase customer satisfaction with steady, consistent, and quality output
  • Analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk, and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in food and/or pharmaceutical production

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
