85k-90k

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and maintain a quality system that meets the requirements of the Quality System Standards / Environmental policy.

Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with production manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

Directs, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.

Ensure level awareness through weekly quality meetings that include scrap and rework data and Cp/Cpk review.

Develop, coordinate and facilitate a process control team to; develop process control points and operating ranges.

Design and implement Cp/Cpk tracking system.

Functions as a customer liaison & interfaces with vendors, customers, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality issues as required.

Designated as the lead for the EMS / ISO 14001 program. Duties include, resources, management, communication, and direct assistance with ensuring conformance and performance.

Ensures processes needed for Quality Management System are established, implemented, and maintained.

Other duties as assigned

Staff level position - Reports directly to the Plant Manager
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering and/ or a related field plus 3 - 5 years experience as a Quality Manager preferred

Automotive stamping background REQUIRED.  Experience dealing with GM, Ford OR Toyota standards/systems REQUIRED.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
