Corporate office is in Sunnyvale, CA but this position can be based in CA, CO, WA, AZ, OR or MA. 80% Remote, Some travel to Sunnyvale, CA is required for one week per month (if not local). Travel to the UK Once every 6 months. Must be able to travel.  

This is a great opportunity for a Senior AX Systems Developer to work with a recognized industry expert in accounting and AX. Our client is transitioning from an international deployment of AX 12 to AX within Microsoft Dynamics 365. 

You are a seasoned Senior Dynamics AX Systems Developer with the proven ability to take business requirements through successful final deployment. Our client is looking for their right-hand person who will serve as a member of the systems development team helping to prepare specifications and software requirements for the Dynamics AX system. In addition, you are a self-starter that enjoys researching, trouble-shooting and problem-solving in order to provide innovative solutions to internal and external users as well as Help Desk support when needed.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Writes and documents codes. Implements, supports and maintains applications.
Assists in training of technical support staff. Participates in development of user training plans.
Responsible for AX Help Desk support to ends users and coordination of related work across IT group.
Participates in AX implementation in new regions. Some travel is required.
Prepares specifications, flow charts, and process diagrams, writes code, works to debug, or eliminate errors, from the system.
Diagnose problems, recommends solutions, and determines whether program requirements have been met.
Reviews and provides input for user documentation. Creates and tests prototypes.
Integrates subsystems.
Participates in peer code review.
Performs unit testing and reworks codes. Revises and adapts existing code.



At least 5 years of prior experience of software development, configuration, and system support with Dynamics AX 2012 or above.
Superior functional and technical knowledge of Dynamics AX with at least three AX modules.
Extended knowledge Object-Oriented programming technologies including X++ and C#.
MS SQL Server SQL development and SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
Understanding of Team Foundation System (TFS), proper code control, and branching of code.
Deep understanding of WCF/AIF and service-oriented-architecture
Ability to provide primary support for AX report writing and secondary support of necessary database procedures to support downstream reporting.
