Our Client is an international integrated chemicals and energy company that leverages technologies and the expertise of more than 30,000 people working in more than 30 countries. We develop and commercialize technologies, and build and operate world-scale facilities to produce a range of high-value product streams, including liquid fuels, chemicals and low-carbon electricity.
·Support of Marketing and Sales value chains and associated customers – ethoxylates/alcohols (70%) and solvents/paraffin/LAB (30%)
·Research & Development, commercialization and customer qualification of company products
·Travel to customers and conferences to facilitate sale and on-going support of company products
·Provides key technical expertise and support to research team; leads significant technical initiatives within LC R&D, Operations/site, and Performance Chemicals R&D.
·Understands technical requirements and recommends R&D objectives, defines what is needed in terms of equipment, etc. and sets appropriate priorities and project goals with supervisor and project teams to meet technical needs
·Develops and maintains an effective network with key stakeholders, such as technical peers within PC R&D, operations and commercial, to efficiently meet technical goals. Contacts outside of LC R&D are important to define, resolve, and implement activities.
·Critically evaluates, documents, and presents technical results
Adheres to safety, health, and environmental procedures
·B.S. or Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
·Knowledge of Organic Chemistry
·Experience with surfactants required
·3+ year’s industrial R&D experience. Preference for experience in:
Ability to travel to customers and conferences up to 25% of the time
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
