Our client provides products and services to reduce the production risks of farming. We have been engaged to find a Regional Sales Manager - a sales & leadership professional to coach and guide a growing and dynamic sales team. This is a home-based position in a defined region of South Dakota. Develop the sales team that provides farmers with all the protection and the collateral they require to keep their operation functioning in a long-term sustainable manner.

You will be asked to train, coach and guide your sales team to become trusted advisors to their farm clients and, ultimately, achieve sales targets. There is a heavy travel schedule from your home office

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to the financial outcome of your defined region; targets, marketing/promotions, forecasting, public relations
  • Coach, develop, encourage, motivate, and recruit the regional sales team
  • Ensure team adheres to state insurance regulations and licensing
  • Widespread travel around territory during peak periods to support team
  • Perform strategy, planning, and business development plans for the next cycle
  • Regularly inform and influence inform industry stakeholders and professional advisory groups
  • Flexibility to be available to producers, sales team, and business commitments as necessary

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in agricultural economics, marketing, insurance, or other related areas highly preferred
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed and achievement-focused
  • 2+ years experience leading others; preferably remote management
  • 5+ years' sales/marketing management experience
  • Understanding of the agriculture industry
  • General/Crop Insurance, preferred; or interested to complete required training and personal development
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States of America and travel internationally
