Reliability and Project Engineer with a global specialty chemicals company located in Southeast Texas.  This position will have you intimately involved in the maintenance and reliability of their current plant operations as well as working with a team as they expand the plant (doubling its size!).  Your project and reliability engineering skills will be utilized fully!  BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years related experience in a chemical plant or refinery.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a global, leading, specialty chemicals company with a production facility in the Southeast Texas area. This profitable facility will be expanding their plant over the next three years (doubling their plant size and personnel).

Reporting to the Reliability Engineering and Project Manager, this role will have you providing expertise and support to the maintenance and operations teams in order to create and execute the reliability strategy for a number of unique, complex manufacturing processes.  

You will be responsible for identifying, establishing and implementing management systems and best practices for continuous improvement opportunities while driving overall maintenance and reliability effectiveness.  You will be involved in continuous improvement and maintenance of the sites rotating equipment utilizing both vibration and oil analysis.  

You will be managing all aspects of the capital projects as assigned.  Candidate will be responsible for tracking and continuous improvement of the predictive maintenance program and root cause analysis program.  

More responsibilities: 

  • Institute and  help execute a reliability centered maintenance program which includes monthly Vibration and Oil analysis
  • Identify, prioritize and develop capital improvement projects that will improve overall long term plant asset reliability
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and installation of capital projects relating to Rotating equipment
  • Establish equipment criticality assessment through Vital Important Secondary process
  • Works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Technology to improve reliability based on inout relating to rotating equipment repairs and improvements
  • Develop and establish key Reliability metrics to measure performance and demonstrate commitment to Health Environmental Safety matters

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 7+ years of Refining or Chemical Plant maintenance, project and reliability experience
  • Deep knowledge of rotating equipment and vibration analysis
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building, and achieving results through influence and negotiation
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve or help others solve equipment and/or process issues
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects

 

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
