There are 3 openings and they are hot to hire. Best candidates come from the Investment Management, Financial or Banking markets. These people typically are either Financial Analysts in the Investment world, or are in the Investor Relations department, writing Proposals for large investment possiblilities. 

These are close to entry level roles (1-3 years), so no relocation offered on these positions.

My internal client has been either a candidate or client on and off for 20+ years and is very responsive.

Client is one of the largest and very well know Minority-Owned Investment Management firms in the US, and is a leader in their market (as well as very politically connected).

Position Summary

Reporting to the Request For Proposal (RFP) Director, the Request for Proposal (RFP) Associate is responsible for synthesizing, analyzing, and explaining information concerning Client’s philosophy, processes, and portfolios to a variety of audiences. The Associate will be responsible for understanding Client’s investment process and articulate how we use it. This individual will support responses for all Request For Proposals (RFPs), Requests For Information (RFIs) and Client Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) from prospects, clients, third-party’s, intermediaries and financial advisors, while ensuring quality in order to produce superior proposals/responses. The Associate will also help with client commentary, quarterly commentary on performance and help with answers for our database of responses. This individual will serve as a liaison between Institutional Client and Investor Relations and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across teams. This person will play a meaningful part in upholding the firm’s strong reputation by delivering high quality reporting and service.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Work with other members of the team on the RFP/RFI/DDQ process from receipt to interdepartmental review ensuring the completed proposal is sent to the requestor on time.
  • Ensure content responses meet the specific needs of each question.
  • Prepare commentary for clients on performance and portfolio positioning / outlook
  • Help with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, ensuring deadlines are honored.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal marketing reports that can be leveraged by the sales team
  • Responsible for communicating Ariel’s philosophy, process and performance to external parties.
  • Ensure all departmental correspondence is professionally produced and compliant with regulatory standards.




  • Min 1 year (ideally 1-3 years) in Finance
  • Experience with the RFP process in the investment management industry, very strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities of a time sensitive nature
  • Track record of being a strong team player who shows ownership of work outcomes
  • Will look at candidates who are in Portfolio Management and want to get into RFP Writing
  • Will look at Investment Management people who want to transisition into RFP Writing
  • Could come from the banking/investment/weath management industries

Education (preferred and or required)
Bachelor’s degree required

Series 7 and 63 FINRA a plus (can get them after being hired. too)

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Experience with FactSet is a plus
Experience with Microsoft D365 and /or Assette is a plus
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite required; knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus
