Ruminant Specialist - Technical Sales Support position - Minnesota

JOB DESCRIPTION

An animal nutrition company who is searching for an energetic Ruminant Specialist to cover the United States and Canada.The Ruminant Specialist will support the sales team in technical topics associated with ruminant production in order to improve sales.

Scope of Responsibility:

- Train and support the sales team in technical topics associated with ruminant production
- Visit customers and prospects to explain company's products and services
- Attend sales meetings with the sales team to explain the benefits of company's products
- Exchange with Ruminant Product Manager on market needs and marketing and technical actions to support the sales team
- Provide technical support and expertise to customers
- Set up field demonstrations and field trials of company's products with customers in cooperation with Ruminant Product Manager
- Prepare internal reports about field demonstrations and field trials as needed
- Ensure compliance of product technical and marketing positioning with Global Technical and marketing guidelines.
- Promote company's name.reputation in the marketplace
- Attend and represent company in scientific and non-scientific events associated with ruminant production

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science (preferred Masters/MSc in Animal Science)
- Broad understanding of ruminant nutrition, diet formulation, animal production system with focus on dairy operations
- Ability & willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
- Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Comfortable with public speaking and presentations for large audiences
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to build strong work relationships with customers, prospects, and coworkers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
