Food industry leader has an immediate need for a Senior PSM Specialist to support implementation of a best in class PSM/RMP program.  The position will be based at their flagship facility in the Greater Salina, KS area. You will be responsible for the implementation, updating and maintaining the PSM program and guidelines (14 elements of Process Safety Management

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support PSM/RMP implementation, auditing, facilitating and managing PHA's, MOC's, PSSR's, etc.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to the plant leadership team, working closely with maintenance and engineering as well as the EHS and refrigeration teams
  • Support plant initiatives/projects such as expansion by providing PSM/RMP expertise from planning to completion

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Safety, Engineering or related area
  • 3+ years of experience supporting PSM/RMP in a production facility.  Ammonia refrigeration, food or other PSM regulated industry experience required
  • Knowledgeable in all 14 elements of PSM including; Process Hazard Analysis facilitation, Management of Change, Pre-Start-up Safety Review
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and operate at the technical expert level, engaging, influencing and educating employees with regards to PSM and RMP.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.  Preference for candidates who have some experience living and working in the Midwest.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
