Our client is an historic European manufacturer of high end glassware used primarily in the alcoholic beverages industry, but also in others such as perfumes, cosmetics etc. Their manufacturing plants are located in Europe and North America. In the US the company is well established in the both the West and the East coasts, and in the central US.  They are expanding at a sustained rate and have also expanded their manufacturing capabilities to allow for more growth, and this is why they are increasing their sales team.

  1. Relevant general education level (meaning University degree or equivalent level).
  2. Progressive and successful track record over 10 years preferably in other industries that are very similar (packaging, labeling etc) in their sales cycles.
  3. Knowledge of Spanish and also experience working with Western European companies is preferred.  They need someone who understands well the European traditional industries mentalities (meaning has firsthand experience with these).
  4. Must be willing to be located within sustainable daily commuting distance to the office, and able to travel as much as required for his/her duties, including overseas to the manufacturing plants.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position responsible for the Napa-Sonoma-Central territory. They believe there is the potential for an increase of at least $2 to 3.5  million additional business per year in this territory only. The exact title of the position is not yet stabilized, but the role is one primarily of business development, which includes both direct and indirect sales depending on customer size and potential. The technical aspect of the products and their high end positioning requires sophisticated customer service. Product development and manufacturing crews being located overseas, ability to interface effectively with them is mandatory (intercultural sensitivity).

QUALIFICATIONS
