Senior Automation and Controls Specialist

SUMMARY:

Expand your professional portfolio as the Senior Automation and Controls Specialist in Columbia, SC. As the Senior Automation and Controls Specialist, you will provide troubleshooting, and maintenance of all automation and controls systems in a manufacturing facility. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
  • 3+ years applicable experience in industrial manufacturing (brewery experience preferred)
  • Certified Allen Bradley (Studio 5000, Factory Talk SE and ME, and AssetCentre)
  • Experience with high speed packaging equipment
  • Proficient with personal computers and business applications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide instrumentation and controls troubleshooting support for manufacturing operations team
  • Work with electronic control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control elements used in automated processes
  • Test instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipment
  • Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, oscilloscopes, and multimeter
  • Consult manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Repair and adjust controls system components or removing and replacing defective parts
  • Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment
  • Provide training to maintenance technicians and operations team on equipment use and troubleshooting
  • Work on assign continuous improvement projects assigned by CI leadership team
  • Foster collaborative and organizational learning
  • Provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations
