Responsibilities
Planning and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor & OH.
Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program
Reconcile finished goods inventories
Variance and margin analysis by product.
Development and analysis of cost standards
Analyzing data collected and recording results.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System, including identifying, developing, and implementing continuous improvements
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger and with the year end audit
Assess current cost system & advise on potential changes to system, data collection & reporting to continuously improve information and margin analysis.
Actively involved in planning, analysis, and cost design in launch of new manufacturing site(s)
Requirements
B.S. Accounting
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in cost accounting, with multiple costing systems
Manufacturing a must
Strong management & leadership skills
Strong Communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with all departments
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
Strong cost systems background and excellent analytical skills
Proficient with excel & Microsoft office suite. Experience with Auroa by Infor a plus.
Experience in cost system design, data accumulation & reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Some travel required. Virtual if possible.
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
