An opportunity to work for an organization where the mission is to fix cybersecurity. The organization is committed to providing their customers with the most comprehensive defence against cybersecurity threats; for every user and asset in an organisation, wherever the location.

The role and team:

In the company's product, analytics are Python 3 software modules designed to find malicious activity of some kind (for example, activity related to a particular type of malware). They primarily use a columnar data store containing billions of telemetry records collected from across a customer’s digital environment, and must carefully identify what is of interest and what is not.

What you’ll do:

As a senior developer specialising in analytics, you will be responsible for working closely with the threat researchers and analysts to understand what new threats we need to detect and to then turn those requirements into software. This includes writing Python modules, creating complex SQL queries for accessing data in our columnar data store and working with our data scientists to use advanced statistical, machine learning or anomaly detection techniques.

We take automated testing very seriously. This means writing comprehensive automated tests for your code that will run in our continuous integration and continuous deployment systems.

What you’ll need:

  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Extensive Python 3 experience
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Experience and knowledge of automated testing principles and frameworks
  • Strong familiarity with Linux environments and the Linux command-line

Desirable Skills

  • Data science background, in academia or industry
  • Experience in a cyber security-related field
  • C++ experience
