Job Summary
Will be tasked with all product development engineering  activities. As Senior Director of Engineering will focus on the structuring the engineering function as a cohesive unit;  develop strategies and guide Engineering Managers with their teams for Electrical, Mechancial and Automation Enginers.  With lead the fostering of innovative solutions for customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a key member of the management team that sets the company’s strategic direction.
  2. Develop strategic planning for the direction and control of product development activities.
  3. Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
  4. Assure that department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame.
  5. Be a student of current industry trends, ensuring that the company maintains and expands its technology leadership position.
  6. Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, recognizing the role as that of both manager and support resource / mentor.
  7. Hire and direct staff of senior group members to acquire necessary resources to meet scheduled commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • BS and/or MS Engineering
  • Ability to effectively coach Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineers
  • Successful manager in an Engineered to order equipment and systems environment.
  • Confident in ability to train successor - promote from within culture.

  • Sound judgement related to making decisions and interpreting policies, procedures and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and mathematical ability
  • Team management and proven experience motivating, mentoring and coaching a diverse team
  • “Out of the box thinker” must be key driver contributing to the products roadmap and willing to take innovative product risk while balancing the road map for on time deliverables.
  • Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.\
  • Professional and positive approach, self motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
