Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a Senior Manager of Supply Chain. This position directly leads supply chain efficiency and operational continuous improvement initiatives as well as supports shipping, packaging & serialization, dispensing, inventory, accuracy, investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.

Accountability includes project/task completion to targeted timelines. Optimizing the balance of demand, supply, and capacity, to meet operational/project objectives. Drives improvements in planning systems, processes and resources to create increased productivity. Supports the development of Supply Chain/Operations staff to instill a quality culture of compliance. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment. 
  • Ability to work on non-routine assignments, requiring minimal instructions and limited supervision on new assignments. 
  • Leads and manages projects to capitalize on supply chain opportunities impacting operational readiness and increasing operational performance, including, capacity utilization, scheduling efficiency, and inventory management. 
  • Make recommendations to management with regards to potential business opportunities, impact, and/or process improvements. 
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task & prioritize assignments as needed. 
  • Open and close supply chain manufacturing area related change controls, exceptions, and CAPA’s in a timely manner in accordance with relevant procedures and FDA guidelines. 
  • Assist in investigations requiring Supply Chain Department input supporting root cause analysis and generating supporting documentation as needed. 
  • Works with supply chain logistics companies to obtain customs & FDA clearances for import and export of goods. 
  • Understands and delivers services in conjunction with the demand, future product launches, and capacity limitations/expansions. 
  • Works with cross-functional team which includes Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Engineering personnel daily to prioritize production.

  • Works with cross-functional team which includes Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Engineering personnel daily to prioritize production. Identify and mitigate risks to supply and ensure management of resources appropriately in order to meet supply goals. 
  • Prepare routine supply chain status reports, KPI updates, and presentations for site level and executive level management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

 Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, or Business Management discipline.
  • MBA or other related Master's Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in supply in supply chain, operations, warehousing, project management, and/or logistics with increasing responsibility.
  • Three (3) years of experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing, Serialization/Drug supply Chain Security Act aka Track and Trace experience preferred.
  • Three (3) years Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, DEAS/controlled substance, DOT, CFR and IATA guidelines as they pertain to manufacturing and shipping of goods preferred.  
  • SAP expertise particularly in the Production Planning and Warehouse Management modules desired.
  • SAP expertise APICS CPIM, CSCP, SCOR-P, and/or CLTD certifications are highly desired.
  • PMP is highly desired, Moderate proficiency in Visio and Project applications, proficiency in the use of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) software required & Experience with SAP strongly desired.

Budgetary/Analytical problem solving skills

  • Provides guidance and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets for Supply Chain cost centers.
  • Ability to outline proposed funding for increases and new initiatives, estimated costs and expenses, and capital expenditures needed for department. 
  • Ability to develop new ways of administering business and processes and lead unprecedented projects.
  • Provides cost-benefit analyses to substantiate decisions in project selection.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving /decision-making skills with the ability to prepare contingency plans and future strategies proactively.

Communication/Self-Management Skills

  • Ability to make presentations to various groups and executive teams.
  • Skills in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, policies and procedures, and general office communications.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility and partner with internal customers and co-workers. Strong organizational, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Innovative skills in organizing materials, information, people in a systematic way to optimize efficiently and minimize duplication of efforts
  • Partner with Supply Chain/Site Leadership in aligning resource needs with operational priorities.
  • Skills in setting priorities accurately to reflect the relative importance of the job in a timely manner.
