* Implement and upgrade the Quality Assurance program designed to ensure defect-free solutions for customers

* Take a hands-on approach to developing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance system

* Develop, roll-out and conduct internal audits per audit plan

* Manage re-certification audits for ISO 14001, FSC, current annual quality system compliance audits and future internal ISO 9001 on an annual basis

* Develop and manage the company’s quality system to ensure all quality activities are standardized

* Develop and maintain PFMEAs, CP and F/O forms including Standard Operating Procedures for Quality Assurance

* Ensure employees are fully training on company QA standards

* Contribute to operational excellence initiatives such as OEE, TPM, first rate product quality, safety, ease of use, cost changeover times

* Lead and train in deep dive root cause analysis

* Manage non-conforming material and product management of rejected materials

* Record and communicate on Quality Loss metrics

* Minimize scrap levels and make ready for all products as outlined in KPIs

* Conduct first-off and in-process frequency checks, including last off at all stages of our processes

* Conduct finished product quality assurance including traceability  

* Perform other duties as assigned


* Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred but will consider others)

* CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) OR CMQ (Certified Manager of Quality) certification an asset

* 5 yrs+ experience as a Quality Engineer; automotive or aerospace industry an asset

* Able to develop, write and implement Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures

* Knowledge of AIAG Core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, etc.)

* Knowledge of OEE and TPM component metrics

* Knowledge of FSC Principles & Criteria an asset

* Knowledge of printing industry and color management an asset

* Ability to clearly communicate and train employees on quality program standards

* Able to work day shift and be available for off shift QA training of employees on occaision

* Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook)
