The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Research Engineer. This role will provide great commercial value, through driving and delivering engineering and technology outputs via the innovation product pipeline. You will lead and deliver dairy engineering and technology research programmes and projects. This will contribute heavily towards the commercialisation of new process and product development projects.

This role plays a key role in identifying new research opportunities that are aligned to the business strategy
 
Skills & Experience

  • Strategically helping build and lead R&D programmes that meet the business & technology needs, by identifying new R&D opportunities.
  • Developing and leading dairy engineering and technology research programmes to enable new process and product development across all categories.
  • Providing strong dairy engineering and technology expertise and leadership.
  • Liaise with external research providers and managing trials through external food pilot facilities.
  • Demonstrate scientific leadership through breadth, depth and currency of theoretical expertise in specialised dairy engineering and technology areas.
  • A PhD / Master's degree in dairy engineering, food engineering, chemical engineering or process engineering
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience in a commercial dairy research organisation
  • Experience in process design or commercialisation of new technology - essential
  • Strong, excellent track record of research and development projects delivered successfully
  • Dairy research, manufacturing and product development experience is preferred over other food manufacturing
  • Strong strategic skills and vision
  • Thought leadership and drive as a subject matter expert
  • Ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative manner with other team members.
  • A true passion for the dairy food industry

QUALIFICATIONS

PhD / Master's degree in dairy engineering, food engineering, chemical engineering or process engineering
