Senior Supply Chain Manager, Automotive


Duties and Responsibilities:


Senior Supply Chain Manager Responsibility:


  • Develop, communicate, and administer to the Supply Chain team:

  • Oversee and facilitate all aspects of material function processes to include material planning, inventory control, shipping & receiving warehousing, distribution, forecasting, & customer service, USMCA to ensure execution and consistency across all plants including:
    • Strategies
    • Controls
    • Policies and Procedures
    • Performance Metrics
    • Work Instructions
    • Forms
    • Training


  • Develop inventory strategy, plans, and processes to drive sustainable year over year inventory reduction without jeopardizing service levels with our internal and external customers.
  • Provide guidance and direction to plant and functional staff on Project related strategy, scope, questions, and specific scenarios (ex. Inventory optimization, Year End Inventory, Daily Cycle Counting accuracy, Inventory turns etc.)
  • Virtual & on-site meetings with supply chain managers to observe, identify and help resolve compliance gaps with policies and procedures, as appropriate. 
  • Support lead & facilitate all year end inventories. Provide guidance as needed.
    • Provide support with any quarterly inventories as needed
  • Analyze inventories to determine inventory flow, reduce waste, and develop inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Update Corporate Supply Chain Manager of any current or foreseeable inventory issues through all the divisions.
  • Lead and facilitate CMS/Visual applications, maintenance for supply chain related activity
  • Ensure strong communication between Supply Chain Managers & cross functional teams to ensure exchange of information, implementation of changes improvements.
  • Lead and Manage Supply Chain Admin
  • Provide leadership coordination and coaching to the supply chain admin ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve operational success within their areas of responsibility
  • Ensure strong communication between supply chain admin to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements
  • Provide Operations Presentations as required.
  • Lead Plan organize & execute the supply chain management arrangements for the manufacturing plants per AIAG management Materials Management Operational Guidelines (MMOG) for each division.
  • Lead plan & standardized cycle count process throughout the organization  
  • Create policies or procedures for supply chain activities 
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes 
  • Support, Lead & facilitate all year end inventories.
  • Ability to travel to all sites as required both Canada & USA
  • Lead organize & execute freight optimization opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Supply Chain Manager.
  • Comply and enforce all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.




Trade Compliance



  • Serve as a primary contact for Trade Compliance for related topics and issues across the enterprise.
  • Yearly Customer required USMCA updates
  • Assist complete USMCA data entry transactions on HIVE (FCA) website
  • Using Sales Form 100’s to report awarded parts
  • Report newly awarded parts to broker Buckland, Parts will need to be added to database.
  • Select appropriate HS codes for each part.
  • Correct HS Codes in CMS (Generates customs documents)  
  • Reporting exporting non-originating countries (CAED Canadian Automated Export Declaration)
  • Responding to requests from CBSA (Canadian Border Service Agency)
  • Responding to requests from (US and Border Protection).
  • Resolve day to day operational issues such as import and export documentation discrepancies, classification, valuation etc. to ensure timely customs clearance of a product.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience
  • 8& years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
  • APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • CSCP Designation, as asset
  • Expert knowledge of freight border crossing requirements

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
