We need an experienced iSeries (AS400) Programmer Analyst for our industry-leading Florida based client. This is a direct-hire position offering a competitive salary, company benefits, and open to remote on a per case basis. You will work in a team environment developing, enhancing, and supporting business applications. Ideally seeking someone that has worked on Accounts Payable (AP), and Purchasing applications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consult with business end-users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
  • Writes and maintains technical specifications.
  • Designs and codes screen layouts, user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
  • Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
  • Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.  









Job Requirements:

At least 8 years of experience in RPG400/IV, RPG Free, CL, SQL, Embedded SQL, Open Query & ILE

Recent and advanced experience with RPG (ILE/FREE) using Procedures, Service Programs, and Functions.

Minimum 5 years experience with Embedded SQL and Interactive SQL. Experience in creating and utilizing views in development practices.

At least 5 years experience in advanced DB2 database design, utilizing techniques such as referential integrity, and normalization.

Must be strong in DB2/SQL and can write procedures and explain working with views, normalization.

Change management experience and familiarity with a change management tool such as Turnover.

Experience exposing and consuming web services, JSON, REST APIs a plus
