Our client is a well-established and much respected leader in their industry. Due to expansion, a junior to intermediate level software / firmware engineer will be added to the staff. Qualified candidates will have some basic electronics knowledge as well as some low-level code and applications software experience. Diverse position working on embedded systems and applications software- the whole stack from UI to bare metal.

Summary and Responsibilities:

Eager problem solver who wants to be part of an R&D team developing state of the art scientific instruments and test equipment. The team develops applications and bare metal software, device driver and firmware and interfaces with multiple cross-functional teams including hardware, ASIC, DSP, support. Design and implement functional software drivers for digital oscilloscopes to control complex electronics. Develop applications software to support drivers. Design measurement software to automatically test customer systems to serial data standards. Devise test scripts, debug, diagnose, fix.


Qualifications include:

  • BS or MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in C, C++, and Python programming; Windows based applications programming; basic algorithms, data structures, etc.
  • Knowledge of operating system and device drivers; microcontrollers; firmware programming principles; digital and analog electronics; schematics; electronics test equipment like oscilloscope and logic analyzer
  • Preferred knowledge includes Windows kernel level drivers, ATL/COM, Win CE or Windows embedded platform
