JOB DESCRIPTION

Sr. Financial Accountant - Utah

 

Client is a leading supplier of equipment and services to the global minerals industries, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a role as a Senior Financial Accountant in Salt Lake City, UT.

 

 

This position is responsible for controlling company’s entities in North America and Central America.

This includes ensuring that financial reporting is completed on time and in high quality, performing financial analysis, assisting in the budget and estimate process, overseeing the internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting to management and Group Finance out of Europe.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensures the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using HFM (Hyperion) and validation of the quality of the underlying data prepared by company’s financial shared service center out of India.
  • Coordinates the preparation, compilation and analysis of annual budget and quarterly estimates in close corporation with Business partners.
  • Ensure that corporate taxes, monthly VAT and any other compliance required taxes are prepared on time by either your-self, sales tax team or business partner.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support as required, to include preparation of financial models to support business cases.
  • Participates in month-end close process by reviewing business results, review prepared documents from FSSC, prepare documents and provide Net Working Capital analysis.
  • Develops system reports for managerial reporting and analysis.
  • Respond and provide support to Management Review and control inventory accounting, order management and project management.
  • Administers and ensures compliance of corporate policies, IFRS and local statutory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years’ experience in corporate finance/accounting, strong emphasis in finance and analysis, financial modelling systems development and financial reporting to management
  • International operations experience a plus

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
