Our client is a start-up company that has come up with an innovative, eco-friendly, biodegradable product designed to reduce plastic waste in the oceans. This incredible team of passionate entrepreneurs has launched their newest creation in the North American market about 2 years ago and focused on B2C sales until now. Given the great results and the increasing demand of the product, they decided to introduce their unique product to the retail market. In order to penetrate this new market and establish strong relationships with some of the most recognized retailers in North America, they are in need of an experienced sales individual who will be responsible for identify new business opportunity and establish connections with the retail industry. Previous experience and existing connections with US retailers is mandatory to be considered for this role.
To be effective and efficient, they are looking for a Business Development Manager who has already had exposure to the retail market and has existing relationships with at least some of the retailers that the company would like to target. Previous experience calling on companies such as Lululemon, Vega, Wholefoods, REI, MEC, etc. would represent the ideal candidate.
