The Senior Maintenance Manager will report to the client’s corporate Sr. Vice President of their Engineering Division..  The chemical site Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance/Reliability Engineer will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager.  The Maintenance Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Planners will report to the Maintenance Manager.  The Senior Maintenance Manager will be responsible for facilities and operations maintenance for site.   Responsibilities also include the development of proper procedures and the collection of data for maintenance planning and budgeting, as well as management of outside contracting agencies. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Maintenance Manager will report to the client’s corporate Sr. Vice President of their Engineering Division..  The site Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance/Reliability Engineer will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager.  The Maintenance Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Planners will report to the Maintenance Manager.

FUNCTION:   The Senior Maintenance Manager will be responsible for facilities and operations maintenance for site.   Responsibilities also include the development of proper procedures and the collection of data for maintenance planning and budgeting, as well as management of outside contracting agencies. 

DUTIES:           The Senior Maintenance Manager will have responsibility for the following functions:

•           Develop maintenance, repair and overhaul processes and procedures and direct the maintenance of our manufacturing and manufacturing support facilities including reliability engineering and predictive and preventive maintenance.

•           Ensure the accuracy and integration of site operations into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) to optimize overall equipment effectiveness.

•           Develop a close working relationship with Corporate Sr. Leaders and Peers.

•           Develop and maintain supportive relationships with manufacturing, technical, and finance by providing needed guidance, assistance, and information when requested.

•           Develop and maintain a high level of general knowledge of the client’s products and services

•           Maintaining the confidentiality of the Company’s products, proprietary information.

•           Ensure that the Company adheres to the appropriate rules and regulations required by government entities and customers.

•           Drive improvements in safety related to maintenance activities.

•           Stay current with changing regulations impacting maintenance such as LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

•           A B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required. 

•           A minimum of fifteen years combined, successful and progressive process, project and maintenance engineering experience required in the chemical manufacturing industry.

•           A minimum of seven years maintenance supervisory experience is required.

•           Strong orientation to team development with demonstrated experience in technical initiatives and problem solving.

•           Ability to understand mechanical equipment and chemical manufacturing processes.

•           Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

•           Experience in dealing with senior level management.

•           Microsoft Office skills at the intermediate to advanced level

•           ERP experience required and SAP experience preferred.

•           Ability to extract and analyze work order and maintenance data from ERP systems to identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
