JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the department Supervisor (Accounting Manager), the position is responsible for assisting with inventory accounting and analysis, preparing the sales cut-off calculation, assisting with the test of internal controls and supporting various Finance functions.  Duties are to include:

• Prepare monthly sales cut-off calculation, journal entry and associated reconciliation. • Prepare and enter monthly inventory journal entries.  • Prepare monthly inventory account reconciliations. • Prepare monthly data files for Slow Moving Obsolete Rate Analysis and research any differences.  Prepares annual rate analysis. • Measures, accumulates, and disposes of cost variances (e.g., purchase, production, freight and conversion). • Performs absorption analysis by production department. • Prepares monthly journal entries to record SLOB changes, purchase price variances, and other deferred variances. • Verify inventory item master cost changes as part of setting up a new item or changing existing items.  • Prepare ad hoc inventory analysis, as required • Assist in the testing of internal controls. • Reconcile and post all activity related to Fulfilled by Amazon. • Prepare tabs for GRP quarterly. • Prepares Mexico transfer pricing study • Prepare management quarterly meeting deck slides.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business with up to two years of related accounting experience. SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment.  Good mathematical ability as well as good proofreading skills, accuracy and attention to detail.  Strong interpersonal and team skills.  PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software.  Must be proficient in working with EXCEL.  Good organizational skills.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
