JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking packaging engineering expertise, but someone ready to move on to a greater challenge/responsibility. If you feel you are able to view a business holistically (10K ft level) but also enjoy rolling up your sleeves and working 1-1 with cross functional teams (operations, engineering, transportation, external vendors, etc) -- you will enjoy this highly visible role in this $5 Billion dollar division.  

 

In this newly created role, you would own packaging project management, engineered solutions, process improvements, documentation creation, and be responsible at a high level for US-based strategies for a ~350K facility in the greater Indianapolis area (relocation paid). 

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required & 5-20+ years experience with Quality Engineering, Quality System/Compliance.
  • 4-15+ years in technical packaging engineering and design (medical, pharma, or similar strongly preferred)
  • Must have knowledge of cold chain / perishables (thermal modeling)
  • Desired certifications (Certified Packaging Engineer, Certified Packing Professional)
  • Ability to coordinate packaging qualifications/projects, creating strategies using off-the-shelf and engineered solutions
  • Must be able to work with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, transportation) to develop and execute protocols
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Strong presentation skills (for leadership, customers, and various internal/external teams)
  • Ability to communicate well complex information and data to others.
  • Experience in successful deployment and use of Project Management skills.

 

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
