JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The position is responsible for carrying out machine system installation to customers with particular focus on Machine Control Systems.
Establish and achieve service objectives of the company.  Ensure the branch achieves and retains a position as a major market player in its area of operations (territory) whilst maintaining high levels of customer service

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Field Services Manager, identify the skills needs and skills gaps of the
  • Field Team and work toward bridging those gaps
  • Utilise the national technical training available and develop and enhance the skills of the
  • Field  Services Team   
  • Initiate and lead on the job training and competency assessments for Field employees
  • In collaboration with the Field Services Manager, ensure that the field employees can both
  • Install, diagnose and fix the relevant machines.

System Installations, Diagnostics and Maintenance:

  • Carry out machine system and site infrastructure installations and setups
  • Carry out machine system diagnostics and maintenance
  • Provide customer instruction in product operation and procedures
  • Make record of system installation and maintenance including
  • Liaise with Stock Controller person for the allocation of stock for purposes of sales delivery
  • Liaise with Systems Sales with regard to customer activities and requirements
  • Undertake ongoing service training on products and systems and service procedure productivity
  • Communicate customer relationships in line with company’s key account objectives and cross territory policies as required.
  • Actively advise customer on product and system condition including making recommendations on product upgrades or new replacements where appropriate.
  • Pro-actively communicate service activities and product quality issues to sales area manager
  • Support exhibitions and other industry or company organised events, as required.
  • Contribute to spares parts inventory replenishment.
  • Undertake other projects or activities as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to work away at short notice when required by clients.
  • Able to work shift work (12 hrs when required onsite).
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised in remote areas.
  • Valid C class driver's licence.
  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification Preferred.  

Education:
Vocational/Technical/Diploma
