WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?
The Tax Manager, Canada will collaborate with the Americas and Global Tax teams as well as other teams within the organization including finance, treasury, legal and operations; also required to liaise with external consultants and advisors. The Tax Manager, Canada will be charged with improving existing processes, while also ensuring the Canadian businesses comply with existing standards, policies, controls and procedures.
Quarterly tax effect accounting calculations (IAS 12) and working papers, including true-up and final journal entries.
Prepare and file Canadian corporate income tax filings and manage income tax payments.
Prepare and file monthly indirect tax returns, while driving process improvements.
Develop comprehensive audit ready files, including audit roadmap and strategy.
Support the Director of Tax, The Americas on all federal or provincial audits, including gathering information, addressing incoming correspondence and drafting responses to the relevant taxing authority.
Manage all aspects of Canadian transfer pricing, including periodic true-up analysis and documentation requirements.
Research and draft memoranda on tax technical issues and assist with planning projects, as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5-10 years experience with at least 3 years managing tax life cycle
Big 4 experience a plus
CPA/MST a plus
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
