Our client is an innovative market leader in laboratory technology providing high-quality chemistry instruments. Serving multiple sectors, our client offers a variety of laboratory solutions related to quality control, production and research and development. We are looking for Western Canada Technical Sales Engineer to join their team, covering 4 provinces and traveling 40-60% of the time. He or she will develop market opportunities and build sales in the region. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experiences selling related analytical instruments. Candidates can be based in Vancouver, Edmonton or Calgary.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Source, prospect and identify potential customers
  • Develop and nurture a strong pipeline of sales leads
  • Leverage marketing tools to build awareness of the company and products
  • Create and maintain strong and consultative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Provide technical information, solutions and support on products
  • Utilize the company’s CRM system to track sales information and contacts
  • Create and maintain long lasting customer relationships through high-quality customer service
  • Attend relevant industry events and trade shows to generate leads
  • Become a subject matter expert on the organization’s instruments
  • Develop a strategic sales plan, including a strong sales presence within the territory
  • Meet or exceed sales goals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience selling related analytical instruments in Western Canada
  • Experience generating leads through cold calling and attending relevant events
  • Chemistry degree
  • Experience selling to a variety of sectors and customers such as food, feed, academia, hospital, pharmaceutical, dairy, industrial or chemical
  • Growth minded – driven to grow the territory and increase sales
  • Extremely self-motivated and able to work individually and remotely
  • Strong sales skills and proven sales accomplishments as a territory manager
  • Willing to travel 40-60% or more of the time
