Our client is a very successful, exclusive national distributor of an international brand of industrial MRO products. The purpose of the Territory Sales Manager is to maximize sales and profits in the lower mainland of BC. This role will cultivate, develop, and maintain new and existing business through building credibility with end users and understanding MRO challenges while representing the employer in a professional manner.

The successful incumbent will call upon operational decision makers in the petrochemical, oil and gas, pulp and paper, mining industries, as well as some property development manages, food manufacturing and potable water facilities. Our client’s products are designed to solve technical problems, reduce wear and tear and in the end, decrease downtime.

The successful candidate will have a technical background, be personable and have experience selling a technical, expensive and complicated MRO solution. He or she must be able to talk with knowledge and credibility about MRO industrial challenges with maintenance managers and have the expertise to make technical and operational recommendations. Their products can actually repair technical equipment – not just reduce wear.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Visit end users to discuss and evaluate MRO problems and make recommendations
  • Draw upon a strong technical background to understand, evaluate and make suggestions for how the client’s products can solve technical issues
  • Service and grow accounts through the delivery of high-quality customer service and sales support
  • Develop and maintain a strategic territory business plan
  • Seek out new opportunities through cold calling and referrals
  • Document all customer information in the company CRM system
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends
  • Pursue the company’s various training opportunities to increase knowledge and awareness of our client’s broad offerings and solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling a high-value, niche MRO product to maintenance managers
  • Experience discussing and evaluating MRO problems with maintenance managers
  • We will also consider operational managers/maintenance managers from an industry facility with a strong technical background in troubleshooting MRO problems who have a strong desire go to into technical sales
  • Extremely professional and personable
  • Self-starter by nature and eager to succeed
  • Trustworthy and dependable
