JOB DESCRIPTION

--- Define and execute new application concepts to meet product marketing and innovation strategies, as well as customer needs.

--- Support the Product Development team in developing new material concepts, by translating application requirements into product (material) requirements.

--- Maintain and expand new application test methods in the Lab/ Technical Center including the equipment setup and execution of the application tests.  Work with equipment suppliers to ensure the development of new production and testing equipment.

--- Initiate application development projects with multidisciplinary teams, including product and process development, technical centers, marketing & sales and operations.

--- Support the technical sales engineers in the market launch of (new) products in new applications to the customers.

--- Report general trends in application development (including competitor developments) and report on progress of own projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

--- BS Engineering degree(e.g. textile engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials science) with 10+ years experience in product/ application development of fibers, textiles, composites, laminates and related.

--- Broad knowledge and experience of fiber/ composite materials behavior, the mechanics, and physical laboratory testing.

--- Experience in providing technical support to Product Development, Technical Service, Sales & Marketing, and Customers/ End User with new product/ applications.

--- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now and in the future

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
