This company produces highly-engineered electro mechnancialcomponents for the Aerospace market and is growing and looking for a leader who can build a cohesive team.


Primary Objective

This individual is a critical part of the senior leadership team that will drive the organization’s growth through customer focused product innovation, proprietary material development, and productivity efforts. Lead the engineering team to respond quickly and effectively to market trends and customer needs in conjunction with the sales team. Be a catalyst for optimizing innovative product designs, technical requirements and building proactive customer relationships. 

Major Functional Areas Accountability

  • Provide leadership for the Engineering and Quality organizations in pursuing business objectives for proprietary new products and increasing productivity.
  • Build and lead a dynamic organization by setting the pace and being an example as leader, coach, and mentor to further build and strengthen the culture/skills of the team
  • Develop and maintain the Technology Roadmap and R&D Projects to meet sales growth and financial targets
  • Work closely with the Sales team and customers to develop innovative, cost effective, producible, and proprietary products within schedule and that achieve key performance objectives
  • Work with peers to improve business process efficiency in areas of responsibility, including AS9100D
  • Prepare annual capital budgets, tracking and accountability for actual expenditures


Qualifications and Expectations:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree preferred,

10+ years of product design/engineering experience with at least five years in a leadership role with proven problem-solving ability and a strong desire to win

Solid business, financial, and project management skills coupled with strategic planning experience

Solid mix of technical and leadership skills as well as ability to communicate easily at both the technical and non-technical level

Proven record of leading teams in developing innovative solutions to highly complex technical requirements

Demonstrated record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates and management

Ability to create an environment of collaboration as well as mentor the Design Engineering staff on technical issues as well as professional development while pursuing business objectives. 

Strong communication skills, to include spoken, written and presentation skills

Aerospace expereince is preferred or experience in electromechancial components


University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
