This position is open due to promotion of VP of Ops to President. They look for this VP to be a president at a division in the future. This is a direct line to that position in the near future. The company offers great compensation plan that includes stock options.
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for all plant operations including production, repair & overhaul, manufacturing engineering, quality, purchasing, planning, and logistics. The production processes include electronics manufacturing, assembly, test, and repair/overhaul operations. They will report to the President and will be a key member of the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities • To profitably grow the business and achieve quarterly and annual Operational and EBITDA goals • Drive a culture of accountability and results through effective performance management • Achieve world class on-time delivery and quality performance to our customer base • Mange Operations• Lead a team of 6 direct reports and approximately 150 indirect reports • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets to achieve annual EBITDA goals • Implement productivity projects to continually reduce overall costs and optimize working capital • Manage workforce requirements, temporary labor, and overtime to maximize labor efficiencies • Refine and execute processes to efficiently introduce new products into production • Mentor and manage direct staff and oversee talent development initiatives. Work cross functionally with Sale, Engineering and Finance.
They are seeking a dynamic, results driven, experienced Operations leader with a solid track record. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• 8+ years of leadership positions in manufacturing operations with budgetary and P&L responsibility (e.g. Business Unit Manager or Plant Manager). • Experience in high complexity, low volume, high mix aerospace and defense operations • Demonstrated success in strategic efforts to drive consistent productivity gains • Ability to balance long term manufacturing strategy and day-to-day execution • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline. An MBA is desirable.
