Wealth Management Tax Director

Opportunity Overview:

An expanding RIA is seeking an accomplished and motivated Tax Director to lead the establishment and evolution of an internal tax practice. This addition will bolster their services to their high net worth clientele which presently includes business management, asset management, alternative investments, and family office services.


Wealth Management Tax Director


  1. As Tax Director, deliver superb client services in coordination with wealth and business managers
  2. Assess general accounting services and implement best practices to meet compliance and reporting standards in coordination with business management and family office teams.
  3. Assess and prepare complex federal and multi-state tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations and Fiduciary entities.
  4. Deliver in-depth tax planning services and perform research.
  5. Develop and cross-sell business services.
  6. Train, hire, develop and mentor tax and accounting staff.
  7. Evaluate and implement high-quality operational improvements and technology infrastructure.


Tax Director - Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience supervising essential practice areas and impacting growth and efficiencies.
  2. Extensive staff supervision and training experience.
  3. Active Certified Public Accountant license required, PFS designation a plus.
  4. Educational background in Accounting focus including Bachelors and MST, MBT or MSA.
  5. Advanced in tax software and technology utilization.
  6. 10 (ten) + years' tax compliance and planning experience with a high net worth client focus at CPA, wealth management or family office firm.
