With a focus on maximising opportunity and delivery; and minimizing cost, they have built a very effective and efficient business structures for their clients. Due to an immediate need they are now looking for a  Payroll Officer to be on site for one of their clients (a Healthcare provider) in the inner skirts of Melbourne CBD

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your main responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Provide accurate and timely salary processing for employees in accordance with their relevant award or employment contract 
  • Understand and meet client expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this position, you will have demonstrable experience in

  • Delivering payroll services in a complex environment including a comprehensive understanding of HR and payroll systems and issues
  • End to end payroll experience in a high volume environment
  • Experience providing HR and payroll advice and support to staff and line managers
  • Ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Commitment to, and proven ability to recommend and implement service improvements
  • Ability to work as part of a team, to multiple and demanding time-lines
  • Experience in documenting and implementing procedures which adhere to legal and best practice requirements
  • Well developed PC skills, including MSWord and Excel 
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills, including confidentiality and the ability to gain the cooperation of others 
  • Understanding of the Privacy Act
