This company has grown from 0-$600mm in four years.  They sell cosmetics through a network marketig channel and social media.  This positon will be based in Utah, managing their European operations.  Will require travel to Europe one week per quarter.  Localization of product for specific European markets is required.  Cosmetics, personal care or beauty products highly desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION

VP International Market Management – Europe, Based in Utah 

The VP, International Market Management is responsible for supporting international market functions, enhancements, localization, and growth following launch through each country’s respective Market VP. 

Duties and responsibilities

International Markets – Europe (UK, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece)

• Identify, and propose solutions for, extra-US market localization needs; engage the appropriate department to ultimately determine and execute solutions that achieve a market-adjusted US-parity of experience for extra-US Presenters and customers
• Advocate for, and identify opportunities to increase company-wide global mindedness
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in each extra-US market and communicate the same from a solution-oriented perspective to appropriate internal stakeholders
• Hire and retain top talent, in country Market Reps/Country Managers
• Promote Market Rep engagement across all departments via email, videoconferencing, and in person meetings held at headquarters
• Facilitate Market Rep matrix functionality through monthly videoconferences with key executives
• Promote Market Rep team collaboration and cohesiveness through weekly remote and quarterly in person meetings
• Solicit from Market Reps strategic proposals and champion interdepartmentally
• Provide additional layer of Corporate Presenter support and engagement via social media and in person meetings/events/trainings
• Provide Market Rep and Presenter engagement through Empower You support and attendance when applicable

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience spanning broad range of business functions in international context
• Broad understanding of international strategic and business complexities across essentially all business functions
• Expertise in international team building, localization and organizational development
• Expertise in strategic planning and execution
• Passion for company mission and international markets

Working conditions

The VP, International Market Management is expected to work as needed to accomplish the requirements of the job.  This may require non-standard office hours, including evenings and weekends.  Significant travel is required.

Direct reports

Direct reports will include international 5 country vice presidents and/or international specialist(s) assigned to the International Market Management division.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
