Regional Calf Specialist

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Agri-Business in their search for an Regional Calf Specialist to make on-farm sales calls and develop strong relationships with producers. Travel will be required 90% of the time making farm sales calls and follow up calls. Will utilize spreadsheets for cost of gains, feed intakes, daily gain, etc. Will set goals for growth based on animal numbers and market share potential. Will also have opportunity for commodity and mineral sales. Will provide technical support and nutrition development for dairy and beef heifer development. Discuss cattle and commodity markets for discussion and advise producers.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or in related field
-2 years experience in sales, preferably in animal nutrition
-Must have working knowledge of nutrition and commodity values
-Must be positive, self-motivated with strong communication, planning and organizational skills
-Must have ability to develop relationships
-Must have strong computer skills, mathematical skills and reasoning ability as well as a strong commitment to customer service
-Must have the ability to manage credit and credit limits
-Must be able to travel 90% of the time, in all weather conditions

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
