Vice President of Product Management
Client is seeking an experienced, ambitious, self-starter to lead their product management team to the next level of ecommerce. In this role you will manage the product management team to define functionality, develop product specifications and oversee regular product launches to stay ahead of the curve. You will work closely with the organization to create and deliver an optimal user experience. Client is seeking someone who is a hands on leader who has built and scaled product management before and is excited to do it again. This key role is a member of the senior management team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor product management team
Develop the product roadmap; articulate the unique value proposition based on a deep understanding of the market trends, competitive threats, voice of customer, and analytics
Work with customers and partners to capture feedback and incorporate into the product roadmap
Prioritize the product delivery schedule among various departmental and company initiatives to meet key dates and deadlines
Follow key product development disciplines
Ability to present product vision/strategy to executives and business stake holders
Take ownership of product performance and adjust strategy to meet company objectives.
Hire, mentor, and build a first class product management teams
Develop metrics with each product team to track performance.
Analyze market and competitive dynamics, user experience research, and metrics to continually improve the product organization.
Qualifications we are looking for:
10+ years of experience as a senior leader preferably within an ecommerce environment
Product management experience, preferably within eCommerce.
Superior analytical and quantitative skills.
Experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.
Expert knowledge of business process management, lean startup, and agile / scrum methodologies.
Quantitative skills required. Ability to use data to back up assumptions and feature concepts.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple product teams - work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.
Passion for creative, resourceful problem solving.
Ability to translate complex business goals into clearly understandable product strategy.
Very strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and/or MBA.
Understanding of core web and database technologies: SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
UI/UX experience.
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
