Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a Long-Established Ag Retailer looking to add a Sales Agronomist immediately to their Sales Team. Primary responsibility is to build strong customer relationships, provide solutions to customers and help customers to be profitable. Duties to include:
- Promotion of Employer product lines
- Develop / execute successful strategic sales plan with help of Director, Sales & Marketing
- Facilitate producer meetings with educational sessions included
- Assist customers with product and pricing information, interpret customer needs, assist with load outs, as necessary
- Work with Director to:
* Grow existing customer base
* Prospect new business
* Review monthly goals
* Provide proficient field scouting, perform soil / tissue testing, interpret results and provide sound recommendations
* Use CRM to maintain sales notes and information
* Assist customers with financing options
* Secure / verify customer information for credit check prior to completion of sale
* Provide superior customer service before/during/after sale
* Develop cropping plans that are creative, effective and cutting edge
* Collaborate with grain personnel in also providing solid grain marketing services to our customers
- Ag-Related Associate's degree required; 4-year Ag-Related degree preferred with 1-5 years related experience
- Good agronomic knowledge including weed / pest identification; understanding of local geography and soil types / fertility; understanding of Ag chemicals, fertilizers and seed; and of crop production
- Strong communication skills and strong sales skills with ability to create / maintain solid customer relationships
- Supervisory experience beneficial but not required
- Strong mathematical skills and solid mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, and financial data analysis and grain markets helpful
- Computer proficiency
- CCA certification or ability to obtain
- Class A CDL beneficial
Education:
University - Associate's Degree/Graduate Diploma/2 Years
