JOB DESCRIPTION

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Established Ag Retailer seeking a Sales Agronomist for one of their Indiana facilities. This Sales Agronomist will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the sale of Agronomy products, services and solutions for area Ag growers to optimize market share, efficiency and profitability of organization. Sales Agronomist will work closely with Ag growers to advise and promote the proper use of Ag chemicals, fertilizer, seed and other Ag Grower Services offered by organization through the utilization of on-farm sales calls / presentations. Ideal candidate will have a 4-year Ag-related college degree, 3 or more years of experience making crop inputs recommendations and selling Agronomy products and services as well as having the ability to converse easily with Midwestern Ag growers. Duties to include:
- Spending a majority of time on-farm with Ag growers
- Leading and initiating sales calls with targeted Ag growers in an assigned area
- Developing and recommending specific Agronomy programs for targeted Ag grower accounts
- Coordinating with Agronomy Manager or Dispatcher to ensure efficient and timely delivery of Agronomy products to Ag growers
- Utilizing precision Ag solutions, seed and other marketing tools to grow market share
- Maintaining knowledge of current Agronomy practices and utilizing this knowledge with Ag growers
- Providing Ag grower reports in a timely, accurate fashion to Agronomy Manager
- Other duties and responsibilities as indicated by Agronomy Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

- 4-year Agronomy or Ag-related degree preferred but not required
- Three or more years of Sales Agronomy experience preferred; will also consider a Sales Agronomist with 1-2 years of experience
- Good working knowledge of Midwestern crops, current crop inputs and precision Ag tools
- Proficient with computer with ability to make on-farm presentations
- Self-directed and customer-service driven
- Ability to work extended hours during peak Agronomy seasons
- Valid driver's license

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
