Description:

 

Dynamic, industry leader, strong growth consumer products organization has an immediate need for a Controller located in the northern Dallas, TX area! This position reports to the CFO and is part of the Strategic Corporate Leadership Team. You will direct the accounting functions; oversee the budget process, and financial reporting. This is a "hands-on" financial leadership opportunity with strong upside career opportunities! Responsibilities include:

 

* Develop complete financial plan for the company

 

* Drive excess expense and capital out of the business

 

* Manage the Closing Cycle and division accounting functions

 

* Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures.

 

* Cash flow management…manage organizational cash flow forecasting

 

* Process re-engineering

 

* Consistently analyze financial data, conduct on-going variance analysis.

 

* Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership abreast of financial status

 

* Integration of acquisitions

 

* Direct, manage & develop accounting staff of 10+ associates.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

 

A BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. A MBA or Master's degree in Accounting would be a plus. A CPA would be a plus. You should have 9+ years of relevant accounting experience with 4+ years in a leadership role.

 

You should have strong multiple site accounting experience, consolidations experience, general GAAP accounting, G/L, A/P, financial reporting, supervision, forecasting, strategy development, capital expenditure analysis and tracking, budget development and implementation experience. Any wholesale/distribution industry experience is a plus.

 

You will lead and coordinate the budget planning process. You should have documented success in developing staff. You should have solid influential communication skills; enjoy a high quality-of-life environment.
