Administering medications and all other routine aspects of patient care.
Maintaining a higher patient caseload than intensive care or pediatric nurses.
Documenting daily care such as vital signs, changes in status, continence issues, diets and even visitors in the patient's charts.
Keeping meticulous records as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.
Someone that can problem-solve quickly, detail-oriented, and is willing to be part of a team atmosphere.
This person should have strong assessment skills, clinical skills, and is able to work with LPNs and NAs in a professional manner that also promotes interdepartmental growth and cooperation.
Finally, this person should have ambition, enthusiasm, Independent, flexible and honesty.
CMSRN and ACLS is preferred. However, this is not necessary.
