Large, multi billion dollar organization with excellent benefits, pay, retirement plan and more has an opening for a Domestic Income Tax Specialist with multiple federal and state income tax responsibilities including the following: preparation of federal and state income tax returns utilizing CorpTax, the Company’s tax software, management of state income tax audits, preparation of the Company’s financial reporting requirements for income taxes (ASC 740), management of employee benefit tax issues, as well as research and documentation of domestic tax issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate is not expected to have experience in all of these areas, but instead, have a solid corporate tax background. The candidate will need to team with senior tax management, corporate tax team members, financial/cost accountants, business unit personnel and outside consultants. The candidate must be highly motivated with a demonstrated understanding of federal income tax law, be able to manage multiple projects at once and have a willingness to learn new areas of tax.

 

Strong analytical, research and communication skills are required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Typical education and experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Required Qualification:

• Corporate tax experience
