Accountable for underwriting, credit monitoring, and managing a portfolio of SBA (and USDA) commercial banking relationships; inclusive of achieving efficiencies and process / product qualities, retention and expansion of existing client relationships, and net growth in existing relationships. Primary tasks include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, recommending structure, and identifying cross selling opportunities. Accountable for credit quality and risk oversight of assigned loan portfolio.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Tasks include:
Analyzing and underwriting the overall financial strength and weaknesses of each borrower through review of current and historical financial information. Able to read and interpret financial statements, cash flow, tax returns, and 3rd party credit reports to assess borrower and guarantor support.
Analyze various types of collateral as a secondary source of repayment. Able to review market reports and determine strengths/weaknesses of market conditions.
Prepare accurate, objective, and comprehensive credit write ups based on in depth analysis of financial data within established time frames.
Acquaintance with commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate, government guaranteed lending, and/or construction lending.
Effectively interacts with clients concerning understanding financial performance, renewals, extensions, past dues, and other credit related matters.
Understands regulatory compliance and insures appropriate risk assessment and problem loan recognition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: SBA underwriting, client service, loan administration, or collections, or sales environment
3+ year of management experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Robust analytical skills including the Capacity to analyze financial metrics
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Capacity to interact with all levels of an organization
Experience in an operations support area that handles scheduling, staffing, planning, and administration
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a and 504 Lending experience
Acquaintance and understanding of Small Business Administration (SBA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policies
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Acquaintance and understanding of CRM, Small Business Administration products, or Credit Origination systems
Capacity to achieve high production and quality standards
Acquaintance and understanding of real estate or commercial loans
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
