A washing plant manager, ideally with European experience, is needed to head up the washing operations for a major denim manufacturer in Dhaka.  With\a second "eco-friendly" plant being built, this is a great opportunity to work at the centre of the apparel manuffacturing world.

The company produces some of the most fashionable denim fabrics and garment products and owns one of the most comprehensive and resourceful manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh. The company is successful in keeping up with great expectations from some of the world’s demanding apparel buyers.  It was because of an obsession for quality, which further attributes to workers’ welfare, better working environment, regulatory compliance and a global outlook.

The current washing plant is housed next to the factory with an effluent treatment plant on site.  All kinds of modern garment washes are achieved with up-to-date machines and technology. An additional washing plant is being planned and will very environmentally friendly.  The new washing plant will have a capacity for 35,000 pieces per day, enabling it to do commission work for other manufacturers as well as process all the company's own production.

You will be responsible for the laundry profit centre, which will encompass attracting new business as well as managing the company's own denim processing requirements: 

• Handle high volumes with complex finishes
• Manage, mentor and develop the washing plant team
• Oversee production and compliance and trouble-shoot where necessary
• Interpret design concepts through wash development and production
• Frame and improve standard operating procedures
• Identify and and approach potential customers to ensure that the plant can always run at full capacity

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experienced in managing a woven denim washing facility
• Understanding of costing
• Ability to attract new customers to fill exces capacity
• Good communication skills in English.  Italian would also be useful. 

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
